Excellent summary, totally makes more sense as an announcement written out than on a pod. Feel like that creative director role for Washed is much needed as I would like to see the company continue to grow even more than it has. Props to everyone involved

Randy and Brett securing the bag is some understated news here. Huge shouts to them and what they bring to the company. Great summary overall, excited for the future of washed.

why is no one talking about Dillon discussing the finances of Brett and Randy (and Will) publicly? /s

Will being the official creative director for Washed at large is going to pay off massively. This is a very very smart move, and I’m really excited to see how these changes improve the company. Good freaking move boys, and congrats to Randy and Brett!

Thank you for this and trying to clarify everything. As much as everyone (most everyone) loves Will, your explanation totally makes sense from a business perspective / maybe just what Will wants to do with his life perspective. At the end of the day, you guys are still people and not beholden to what any of us want, only what makes the company succeed and what makes you guys happy. We ride at dawn for Washed 🫡

Thanks Dillon. It sounds like Scaries takes up a significant amount of company time for Brett and Will. I assume this means Washed media has some ownership stake in Sunday Scaries.

I always assumed that was kept separate.

Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense for Will to retain his 1/3 ownership stake and thus 1/3 of profits if he was spending most of his time on a separate entity.

In this accurate?

Thanks for the thoughtful responses Dorn! Also let it be known that when I texted my partner about Will leaving the pod FT, he immediately called to ask if I was okay 😅😅 clearly yall have a big place in my heart.

Different but analogous - for the NLU supporters out there, think of Will shifting to this role similar to KVV as "editorial director" (I think that's what his official title is). Obviously KVV does way more than just a traditional editorial director, but it gives him the freedom, authority, discretion to operate in that role as well as whatever else is good for the company. Yes, it's different because KVV was an addition whereas Will is a founding partner, but the comparison holds, IMO.
